Project Description

Firelec have successfully completed the upgrade of the fire alarm system at
Thornbury Court in Kensington, London. The existing system was a 3 loop hardwired addressable Juno Net system using Apollo protocol which covered the communal areas only.
By upgrading the control panel to a flush mounted 4 loop Hybrid EMS Taktis panel, we were able to keep the existing loop cabling in place throughout the common areas. We also installed a wireless network of radio communicators in each core which serve the new wireless detectors and sounders in all flats and
other areas of potential risk. By opting for wireless additions to the system the upgrade project was completed in around 2 weeks, which meant far less disruption for the residents.
Following the success of this project Firelec have since been awarded the service contract for the new system and continue to provide ongoing maintenance and support for the end user.
