Park Place Plaza – Stevenage

Project Description

Firelec have recently completed the installation of the Intercom/access control and CCTV system at Park Place Plaza in the heart of Stevenage Town Centre.

Firelec was contacted to supply, install and commission an IP BPT video Intercom system for 202 apartments spread over 2 blocks.  Each block had 3 main entrances, a vandal resistant video entry panel was installed at each entrance with the latest BPT Impro access control proximity reader integrated into the panels. Apartments could be called from any panel and access granted from the handset. Each apartment was fitted with a combined video/audio entry handset. 

Impro IP access control software was installed on the concierge desktop for fob resident management.

A BPT audio Intercom was installed for the concierge based on site.

The CCTV system installed is a full IP consisting of 6 x 5MP vandal resistant dome cameras viewing each external entrance of the building and perimeter. Cameras were carefully installed and coordinated with the client to optimize the best viewing angle and getting the best CCTV image as possible. CCTV is networked so the cameras can be viewed remotely form their head office.

Following the success of this project Firelec have been awarded the service contract for these systems and continue to provide ongoing maintenance and support for the end user.
